Music - Solo

Music made under the name 'overview' between 2005 and 2007 for no other reason than to amuse myself and play with my turntables. Questionable sample use makes none of the music eligible for release.

When Push Comes To Shove (ft. Scroobius Pip) [Download] Music - Scroobius Pip

In 2005 Rosco Illa and myself assisted Scroobius Pip in the recording of his first album, 'No Commercial Breaks'. The album is now very, very rare with only 1,000 copies ever made which were all sold hand to hand to through myspace by Mr. Pip himself. The album contains vocals that would later be revisited on 'Angles' by dan le sac vs. Scroobius Pip.

'Rat Race' is the track in which Rosco Illa and myself had the most input, laying down an improvised Jazz line in one take with Scroob doing his thing over the top...

Scroobius Pip, in association with Redshift Rebels and Pure Groove, hosted and selected poets and musicians to perform at his Satin Lizard Lounge. The event Initially ran for four free Wednesday night shows (April 8th and 22nd, May 13th and 27th 2009) with myself (under the name 'overview) as resident DJ. I also managed the podcasting of all 3 nights, providing feeds and hosting.

The recordings every performance featured commentary from Scroobius Pip and Oliver Quintrell (who took care of sound and recording) and were available via iTunes and direct download. All recordings are currently unavailable, but will return when Redshift Rebels launch their new site, due early 2010.
